How a custom embroidery order works
Post the artwork once, compare bids from embroiderers, and the payment is held until you confirm the order arrived.
From artwork to stitched
- Post your jobUpload the logo or artwork (or your DST or PES file if you have one), say what it goes on, the finished size, thread colors, quantity, the date you need it and a budget range.
- Compare embroiderersMakers reply with a price and a turnaround. Check whether the bid includes digitizing, whether they supply the item or stitch yours, their completed jobs and reviews.
- Accept and payPay the maker's quote by card through Stripe. The platform holds it and releases it to the maker once you confirm delivery.
- Approve, receive, releaseThe maker can post a photo of the test sew-out in the app before running the order. When the items arrive and you confirm delivery, the payment is released.
One patch is an order here.
Clubs, small businesses, bands, gift-givers and anyone with a jacket worth personalizing: one brief, several embroiderers bidding, payment held until the order arrives. One cap today, twenty-four next season, same maker.

Platform terms, not market figures (The Spool List buyer terms). Embroiderers are joining now; post and see who bids.
Why post here instead of a bulk print site or a DM
Paid only after delivery
You pay when you accept a bid. The platform holds the money until the order reaches you and you confirm delivery.
Built for small orders
One patch, six caps, a single monogrammed towel. Makers here set their own minimums, and many take one-offs.
No buyer fee
The embroiderer's quote is the price you pay; the platform adds no buyer fee.
Digitizing quoted openly
Makers state whether digitizing is included. Ask for the DST or PES file so you own it for reorders.
Your own item, stitched
Send in the jacket, bag or blanket you already have. Say what it's made of so makers can quote the right backing and hoop.
Help if it goes wrong
If an order stalls or arrives wrong, open a dispute in the app. Disputes that aren't resolved are reviewed by The Spool List.
Every job on The Spool List has a written scope: artwork version, size, placement, thread colors, item, quantity and deadline. That's what the embroiderer bids on, and what you check the finished pieces against.
Ask for a photo of the first sew-out before the full run. It's the cheapest moment to catch a color that's off or lettering that's too small to read. Payment is released once, when you confirm delivery.
If the order stalls or arrives wrong, open a dispute: the scope, the photos and the messages are reviewed. A DM to a stranger can't offer that.
